ЁЯМ╛ More than 300 farmers arrived at the Mhow SDM office with various problems and submitted a 19-point memorandum to the administration. In the memorandum submitted by the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Tehsil Mhow, farmers raised several important issues related to land acquisition, compensation, irrigation, electricity, roads, agricultural land, markets, fertilizers, and loans. Farmers demanded four times the compensation for agricultural land acquired for the proposed Eastern Ring Road and Railway, payment according to appropriate guidelines, stamp duty exemption for affected farmers, and 12 hours of uninterrupted power supply from the Narmada River for irrigation and agricultural purposes. In addition, demands were made for service roads, drainage, and underpasses on both sides of the road, improvements to online maps of agricultural land, relocation of the vegetable market to Dongargaon, acceleration of micro-irrigation, repair of dangling electric wires and tilted poles, and adequate fertilizers for the upcoming Rabi season. The memorandum’s 19th demand cites the announcement made by then-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to farmers at the Lal Parade Ground on September 12, 2022. Farmers have demanded that the government bear the interest and penalties for defaulting farmers and waive them. They have stated that they are ready to pay the principal amount. тЭУ Will the administration resolve these 19 demands of farmers soon? ЁЯТм What is your opinion on this matter?
