The Shajapur District Patwari Association has demanded that the Patwari cadre be completely separated from the Registry and related execution tasks under the Swamitva Rights Record Execution and Registration Act 2026. The association states that imposing additional and personal legal responsibility on Patwaris for tasks such as Registry, E-KYC, and Biometric Verification is not appropriate. The Patwari Association has suggested that tasks related to the Swamitva Registry be handled through the Panchayat or Rural Development Department. It also demands that Patwaris be held accountable for technical issues in Farmer ID creation and that their direct or indirect responsibility for geo-tagging-based Girdawari be eliminated. The association has also demanded the immediate resolution of pending service-related issues, including cadre review, promotion, time-scale pay scale, and salary discrepancies. The association’s district president, Hariom Hanotia, stated that disagreement and abstinence from work regarding these three tasks will continue until the major demands are resolved. 📍 Shajapur | Indore | Madhya Pradesh ❓ Should Patwaris be subject to additional legal obligations related to the Swamitva Registry?
