An important meeting was held at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Civil Hospital in Mhow to improve hospital facilities and patient amenities. The meeting discussed strengthening the hospital’s security system by hiring three more security guards in addition to the current six. Emphasis was also placed on requiring all guards to wear uniforms. For patient testing, Pathology Lab hours were set from 8:30 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 6 pm. A new diagnostic machine available at the hospital has also been decided to be operational soon. X-rays will be performed from 10 am to 4 pm. It was also discussed regulating ambulance services, installing sirens, and setting a ₹500 per trip fee for trips to Indore. Several decisions were made at the meeting, including the OPD Chamber, Canteen, and the creation of I-Cards for staff. The issue of delayed salaries for contract employees also came up. According to hospital in-charge Dr. Amit Soni, efforts are being made to provide systematic treatment to patients at the hospital while avoiding unnecessary referrals. A Patient Welfare Committee meeting will now be held every month to review the hospital’s facilities and patient concerns.
